Avon Night Magic Deodorant & Anti-perspirant

About ten years ago I was an Avon representative, and I got hooked on a few of their products. Even though I no longer sell Avon, I still buy a handful of their personal care items regularly. Among these are perfumes, deodorants and hand creams.

I've always had a weakness for most perfumes with a musk scent, and it's been a favorite of mine since I was first introduced to musk oil in the early 1970's. Avon's Night Magic Evening Musk is one of the perfumes on the top of my vanity, and now I have a matching scented deodorant and anti-perspirant to match!

My husband and I both love Avon's deodorants, and have been using them for the past ten years. He is hooked on their On Duty Unscented deodorant, while I have a few of their perfume scented versions. Buying deodorants or anti-perspirants (or combination products), in the grocery store is something that we stopped doing long ago when prices went through the roof. Avon often has their small sizes of deodorants on sale for a mere 99 cents, which is an amazing bargain.

Description

The plastic bottles are short, and have a slight hour glass shape, with a large roller ball at the top. The lid is dome shaped, and fits nicely over the roller. Avon has several scents available, including Odyssey, Sweet Honesty, Candid, Timeless, Imari, and the Night Magic. There are likewise scented versions of deodorant for men, but my husband isn't interested in trying them, even though he loves the scent of Avon's Wild Country After Shave.

The Night Magic bottle looks just like their perfume bottle, it features a dark blue base, with silver lettering on the front, and a matching silver colored cap. It smells amazingly like Avon's Night Magic Evening Musk perfume. Avon refers to this scent as a seduction of sultry incense and evening amber. The active ingredients are 14.5% aluminum chlorohydrate and anhydrous. The small version contains 1.7 ounces.

My Experience

Night Magic roll on deodorant and anti-perspirant rolls on smoothly, and it doesn't sting my underarms, even after a recent shaving. The scent from the product isn't as strong as wearing the perfume itself would be, it's more subtle, but it gives my skin a nice romantic scent. It also makes my clothes smell great! And of course it blends perfectly with the matching perfume should I decide to wear it along with using the deodorant, but there are times when the deodorant alone is enough for me.

As far as effectiveness for both keeping me dry and keeping odor at bay, it does both of those things well. I have never had any issues with wetness under my arms, even when I've been out playing golf for several hours at a time. I must say that I do live in Alaska, and we don't have extreme temperatures here - a 70 degree day is considered "hot. So I can't speak to how well this would work in a hot climate.

I have never come across a deodorant or anti-perspirant, other than Avon's, that smells like perfume, and I really appreciate that Avon makes this product available to their customers. Not only does Avon make perfume scented deodorants to match their perfumes, they also make scented lotions and bath powders as well. And for 99 cents? Come on, you can't beat that with a stick! I am a bargain hunter and I appreciate a good deal when I see one, and let me tell you that this is a great deal.
